Flexibility

Once we got back from our trip to Cambodia we spent a few days at Matt's sisters (in Arizona) resting and trying to catch up from Jet Lag. We left Arizona headed to Alabama where we were to help with VBS and do a presentation on our trip, we also had an appointment at a new church to share. Well the appointment at the new church ended up on the same day as our appointment at a supporting church in Texas so we had to reschedule the Texas presentation. The church in Texas rescheduled us for 3 weeks later which happened to be the same weekend we were to be in Michigan. So now we have had to reschedule our Michigan trip to next week. We also will not be going to Oregon now. We also had planned a week of just family time so we could spend some quality time with the kids, just us and them. Now we are not sure when that will be, hopefully the weeks right before classes start. Even funnier was Sunday, we had spent the last week preparing a powerpoint with pictures and videos from the trip and arrived early for our Sunday evening presentation only to find that our cable for the projector was no where to be found. We also had left our S video cable in AZ so we were now sitting there with no presentation and a fellowship hall full of an eager audience. After much searching we found an S video cable at a members house who lived next to the church. Matt got it installed while Christine stood up and shared about the trip. Once the cable was installed and the projector was going the computer wouldn't recognize the projector so it took another 15 minutes to reconfigure the display on the computer. But with all this the Lord really used the time and everyone enjoyed the presentation and got to see that we are just regular people with the same problems as everyone else. We were asked to do some more presenting about the trip this Wed. We also will be in front of a new church Sunday for about 10 minutes introducing ourselves and our future ministry. Please continue to pray with us that we will remain flexible, have patience, not get stressed, and most of all that people will see God at work and be excited about what He is doing in Cambodia. Here are a couple more pics from the trip.
