Christmas in August…..

We delivered our trunks to an organization called Friends In Action, who, among other things, provide shipping services for missionaries. They will be crating our trunks and having them shipped to North Carolina where the crate will be loaded on a container bound for Papua New Guinea. The container isn’t leaving until the end of May so we won’t be receiving our things until the middle of August, we figure it will be like Christmas morning opening all those boxes to play with the goodies inside. It was exciting to say goodbye to most of our worldly possessions knowing we will be reunited later this year. We know they are just things but they will help to make our new home in PNG feel like “home”.

International shipping is a slow process, it will take about 3 months for our crate to arrive in PNG. Thankfully it won’t take that long for us to travel there.

Dang. I feel very high maintenance with the amount of stuff I brought...oh well! You can come to the Islands to borrow stuff any time! ;)
