Well the first week of training is almost over and we are already through our first class. We met our personal development advisors, got our first set of textbooks and started our work detail. Tomorrow is our outreach chapel to find out more about the outreaches in the community and decide where we can be plugged in to minister to people in the community. I (matt) am interested in the homeless shelter up the road and am hoping there will be some opportunities for me to get involved there. Mothers are not required to participate, it is in the afternoons when the kids are home, and it's not like moms don't have enough to do taking care of the kids and a husband. It is truly amazing the ministry God has given to mothers and the eternal impact that they can have on those young lives, not to mention the impact they have on their husbands even if the husband doesn't recognize or appreciate it. Or if he fails to mention how much his wife means to him. The kids also started school this week, Matthew is now in High School and he seems to be liking the new school. It is not only new to him but it is also a new school building. He is in a auto shop class and wants to try out for football next year. Meghan, as always, is fitting right in. She is trying out for volleyball and is playing her flute in band again. The on campus youth group will be kicking off a new season this weekend, there are staff and students who work with the kids in bible studies and group outings. That's it for now, will keep you updated with all the great things God is doing here.
